Israel Shahak
Sep 4th, 2008 by ShandaMeister
A Polish-born Israeli Professor of chemistry who survived the Warsaw Ghetto and Bergen Belsen, he died suddenly at the age of 68 from diabetes. He was a supporter of a Palestinian state even before the Six Day War. In 1970, he was elected president of the Israeli League for Human and Civil Rights. A centerpiece of his work was the translation of the Hebrew press which he claimed was being distorted in English language editions. His later works supported his thesis that Talmudic Judaism was totalitarian and that “Jewish chauvinism” can be a causal factor in anti-Semitism.
Shande: With good friends like Noam Chomsky and Edward Said who needs enemies, Shahal was even mourned by that great friend of the Jews, David Duke. He consistently argued that Zionism was a reflection of anti-Semitism, that Judaism was racist and the ultra-Orthodox Jews cursed gentile dead and worshipped the devil. He claimed he witnessed an ultra Orthodox Jews refuse to allow his phone to be used to aid a Gentile in an emergency on the Sabbath. This incident was long disputed to have been fabricated. If you’d like to read more, you can most easily find his works on “Jew Watch,” and “Radio Islam,” on the web.
